Reader Reviews

"As a counsellor, and a big believer in paying attention to the messages that our wise body continuously delivers to us, I am so excited about Wendy’s playful childrens’ book. Helping kids to be in touch with their bodies and sensations and normalizing them all helps kids understand the amazing connections they often feel everyday and allows them to feel them, name them, talk about them and ask themselves “What do I need right now?” Hurray! This book is advocating for the needs and rights of a child - I’m so excited to read this to my grandchildren!"

─Sonja Bristow , Professional Counsellor

"This book moved me deeply.  It felt like it was speaking directly to the longing I had as a child for someone to recognize, affirm and accept my thoughts and feelings.  It normalized feelings I had that were unacceptable growing up, and gave little me permission to finally feel them.  I think my life would have turned out differently if I had someone helping make these connections when I was young.  It's a story I will read again and again and share with vulnerable women and children in my community."

─Michelle (overcomer from exploitation, abuse and trafficking)

“A wonderful book that encapsulates and connects the physical and social emotional reactions associated with a growing and changing body. Fun and adventurous Stormy, will take you on adventures that open up a realm of healthy self discovery.”

─Tracey Bennett, Social Worker/Adjunct Professor

“This book opens up amazing conversations around listening to our bodies and giving them permission to move, feel and express without shame."

─Michelle Neilson - Mom

Worm

“For kids who love to move and groove, "Ants" embraces wiggling and fidgeting as natural ways to learn and grow. Follow the journey of a child who discovers that play and movement are just as important as paying attention and that sometimes having ants in your pants isn't a problem, but exactly what your body needs.”
